On July 4th, an online meeting brought together all partner organizations involved in the Erasmus+ project The HeARTs of Youth. The objective of this project is to leverage art and dance therapy techniques to help young migrants develop diverse skills and empower them.
The virtual gathering was attended by representatives from all the partner organizations: CEIPES, from Italy; Essevesse, from France; The Red Pencil, from Belgium; and Hope For Children, from Cyprus. It served as a critical checkpoint to discuss the project’s current status, recent developments, and future directions.
One of the main focus of the meeting was the recently concluded training in Palermo, led by art therapists and dance therapists, that served for training the staff from the organizations involved in the project in the use of techniques from these disciplines and how to apply them for working with young migrants.
Another of the central topics was the development of the project’s handbook and the video tutorials that will support the implementation of future project’s activities, specially the trainings with young migrants. During the meeting, partners reviewed these tools together, sharing valuable insights.
As the project continues to evolve, the commitment for using art and dance therapy as transformative tools remains steadfast. Through these efforts, The Hearts of Youth aims to create lasting positive change, empowering young migrants and fostering inclusive communities across Europe.
